Sweet Ginger Asian Cuisine & Lounge
About This Spot
Stepping into Sweet Ginger Asian Cuisine & Lounge feels like discovering a quiet gem nestled in the heart of Fairhaven. The space hums with an inviting, easy rhythm—where the chatter flows warmly around the delicate clink of glasses and the rustle of chopsticks. It’s a spot that balances the energy of a lively bar with the comfort of a neighborhood favorite, giving guests a chance to unwind without feeling rushed.
The atmosphere is thoughtfully unpretentious: polished yet welcoming, where the staff’s genuine smiles and attentive care instantly put you at ease. There’s a sense of familiarity here, as if you’ve stumbled upon a place that quietly cultivates its own community through shared meals and relaxed evenings.
At Sweet Ginger, the menu unfolds through moments as much as dishes—each bite telling a story beyond typical takeout. From the crisp, refreshingly bright lettuce wraps to the soulful warmth of their well-loved General Gao’s Chicken, meals come paired with thoughtful cocktails that encourage lingering conversations. The bar offers playful takes on classics like the Mai Tai and Malibu Sunset Martini—generous and colorful, perfect for clinking glasses with friends or savoring quietly at the end of a day.
What stands out most, beyond the thoughtfully crafted food and drink, is the human side of the experience. Whether it’s a bartender skillfully balancing a drink or servers who know when to stand back and when to step in with a kind word, Sweet Ginger creates a space where small moments are noticed and appreciated. It’s a place many return to not just for the flavors but for the subtle kindness threading through the service and atmosphere.

I've been going here a few times a year since they opened. I like this place alot. The food is always good. Chinese food isn't the healthiest option though, so I do eat it only occasionally. But it's always a treat. The General Gao's Chicken is awesome.

First time eating here and I was very pleased. My brother and his girlfriend recommended them and they didn’t disappoint! Very clean atmosphere with great service, our waitress Wendy was superb. She was very sweet and attentive. Looking forward to visiting here again when I come up to visit! :)

Ordered on NYE and had to wait about 15 mins once I arrived, but they had 30 people hanging out waiting for their orders. They were efficient and polite and the food was awesome. This is the 4th or 5th time we've ordered, usually delivered. Always great quality, and we live about 20 mins away. It's worth the drive or delivery.
